Conferences and trade fairs are a great opportunity for forging existing partnerships and establishing new ones. As Directions EMEA is one of the most renowned conferences for companies in our line of business, we know it will be packed with people who sell and implement Microsoft products. Why reinvent the wheel when you can use one that already rolls perfectly? Basic system settings (such as user rights and security configurations) flow directly from Business Central into PIMICS. That’s a huge plus compared to other PIM systems, which often need to be configured from scratch.

It’s Up to Us to Keep PIMICS Up to Date

In today’s cloud-based world, updates happen constantly, often automatically, with you barely noticing. This is essentially a good thing — systems are always improving and there’s no additional fee for updates as it’s usually covered by the price of your subscription (there used to be a time when company updates had to be paid for individually).

That said, the downside of automatic updates is that from time to time, things get broken. Especially when one system gets updated and another doesn’t. This happens way more often than in the old times when you had to pay for updates.

And now the good news: As a Microsoft-certified partner here at PIMICS, we handle all patches and updates of the system. You don’t have to worry about fixes — that’s our responsibility. Contrary to third-party PIM systems not certified by Microsoft for which it’s up to you to mend the connection once an update causes issues.

Let’s put it this way: When a Business Central user decides to get a more robust PIM system (those are often developed primarily for the SAP ERP system), it can feel a bit like bringing a tank to a go-kart race. While PIMICS offers a more streamlined, cost-effective solution that still delivers everything a user of Business Central needs — without a heavy-duty price tag.

E-commerce might be another area of interest. Especially for those who already have an e-commerce system in place, integration with a PIM system that has its own e-commerce and basic marketing features, can get tricky. With PIMICS, on the other hand, we’re ready to integrate with ANY e-commerce solution, including Shopify.
