Key improvements
Since version 6.0 we have been working hard on the new Pimics version. Here we mentined the main improvements that have been released in version 7.0.
Navigate in Pim is a new possibility how to easily find where the data is use. You can see all the publications, parent groups, etc.
Automatic translations helps to speed up the translation process. You can easily call a service to get pre-translate text that can be use before verification from native speakers.
During the implementations of Pimics we typically facing an issue how to migrate rich texts. Usually we use Rapid Start process, incl. import of Excels. Export & Import texts should help you in initial import, but also with the process when you need to involve external copywriters.
As our native DAM we typically use SharePoint. SharePoint is perfect when you want to share files. But it is nearly imposible to get a public link for e-commerce and other public channels. That is reason to introduce our service for public links for SharePoint.
One of the key difference between PIM and PXM solution is that PXM typically can help also with something like CMS. For this reason we introduce our Content, there you can comabine your master data together and prepare better user experience for your producst.
It has been a while when Microsoft and Shopify introduce their partnership. Since that, the Shopify has begun a hot topic. Finally, we can say that also Pimics has an integration to Shopify.
Automatic certification should help with keep data quality. It allows to peridically check the quality of data using our Checklists. So it is not necessary to run it manually as before.
Generic import of XML files is typicall question when a company has lots of suppliers and need to read their data. We had a similiar in Pimics for Nav, but we postponed the migration every version, finally it is here and ready to use.

Pimics 8.0
We follow release cycle of Microsoft with a small delay to ensure compatibility. The next planed release is 2023 wave 1. So the Pimics version 8.0 will be released in May 2023. We're working on certain improvements like working with variants, version management, keep the history data, and lot's of improvements like better data modeling, importing & exporting data.
